NFC tags / stickers

NFC Tags are derived from the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which is also a contactless and wireless communication technology. Just like RFID, NFC tags also have an antenna, storage memory, and radio chip. However, they have differences in terms of distance. RFID electronics can work at a longer distance than NFC. JLTcard NFC tags operate for about 4 inches or 10 centimeters of distance. NFC tags can also be used as a reader and receiver and are possible to send or transmit data between two JLTCard NFC devices when they are on a peer-to-peer mode. NFC tags do not require charging because they use magnetic induction to absorb energy from the electronic equipment that reads them. It is because the NFC reader that is close enough to the NFC tag can provide the energy to start transmitting data.
